Kevin Hayes won the Cambridgeshire Seniors Autumn meeting at Kings Lynn Golf Club last week with 37pts. Kings Lynn is a tight challenging course in Norfolk and 3rd position went to David Burt with 34pts. This was on count back from the new young senior our scratch team captain, Graham Goodman. Graham who had not played the course before had the best gross score for the day.




In the week, the Owen Rout Cup is a matchplay format over 2 days, and the winner, Jamie Price, played 4 18 hole rounds of golf over the 2 days, consistently playing under handicap. 

In his second match against Johnny Jenkins he fought back from 4 down at the 10th to win on the 17th hole. 

In the final he was again 3 behind after 9 holes, but dug deep to win on the 18th hole. 

Jenkins said the conditions were perfect,, no wind, warm and the course in first class condition: 

"I had my best rounds for a very long time" 


Sarah's Junior Programme

Sarah's Sunday Junior 6 week programme came to its final week on Sunday. We took the juniors on the Par 3 golf course at Chesterford Science Park. It was a great morning and the juniors played their first foursomes competition, the 2 pairings finished only 1 shot apart at the end of the 7 holes.

Don't forget to check the dates through the winter as some Sunday's are not going ahead.. There are limited spaces available so if you'd like to book a space for your child/children then please contact Sarah.

All Junior group classes, both Saturday's and Sunday's are only £8 per class or a 6 week block for £40 . 

Don't forget you can come along no matter what level of golf you are at... Whether you've never played golf before or if you're going to be the next touring professional. 

The price includes club hire and balls for the hour.
