New Addition to the Pro Shop

This week we are introducing the ES14 Launch monitor, for those who play early in the morning you may have seen Cam practising with it in the nets. You may have thought you heard him talking in a strange voice, but it's actually the device giving him his stats back.

The ES14 accurately measures the club head and ball speeds, the smash factor, launch angle, spin rate and distances. This is a fantastic tool for anyone interested in looking at a new driver or wanting to fill gaps in the bag.

Titleist Fitting Day

I am pleased to announce that we have a Titleist fitting day between 12pm and 5 pm on Friday 4th July. Titleist have a fantastic range of products, and are fitting for drivers, fairway woods, irons and wedges. Swing in balance and generate more speed through impact

This is a two for one exercise to encourage an athletic lower half and generate more speed through impact.

Picture 1 - Address the ball with the feet pointing inwards and the knees spread wide. As you make the back seeing keep the width in the knees. This will give the lower half resistance and balance in the back swing, picture 2.

Picture 3 - Maintain this until just before impact, then fire the right side at the target (right hip, knee and foot).

Try this drill and you will see your swing sequence better through resistance, and your club head speed improve through impact as you fire your right side at the target.
