Hello and welcome to this weeks newsletter.
I'm pleased to say that my wife Eleanor gave birth to a future Open champion on Tuesday morning, though if he follows his sisters lead and uses his clubs as a horse round the garden I wouldn't rush to the bookies just yet. He came in weighing 7 lbs 9, and after two days of deliberation and nagging from parents we have called him Johnny with a middle name to follow soon, any suggestions would be a great help. Marcia seems happy to have him around but has commented that he doesn't do much.
Other Pro Shop news is that Cam is still with us after his sky dive was cancelled due to high winds, much to his girlfriends disappointment. He will be chucking himself out of a plane later in the year.
The Masters Countdown
With approximately 50 days to go until the start of The Masters, it feels like the 'start' of the season is just around the corner. We know a lot of golfers see Augusta as a kind of unofficial start to the golf season, but we like to think it begins a bit sooner than that. So, if you're still in hiding then it's time to dust off those clubs and get out and about.
If the likes of Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose are talking about reaching peak form in time for The Masters, then there's no reason why you shouldn't be out there so when spring/summer comes around you're in good shape yourself to challenge for your own Major titles at the club.
That's why it's a great time to work on your game. Over the winter the short game can lose its sharpness and bad habits can creep in, faults that you don't want to be fighting all year.
If you've been down the range recently and you find yourself struggling - or even if you're just starting to play again - don't be afraid to come and see us for a lesson.
Whether you want a quick fix or a course of lessons, we can help devise a plan for you, so click here to request yours. You'll be reaping the rewards later in the year, we can promise you that…
