Hello and welcome to this week’s newsletter. The white stuff shifted as quick as it came last week and the course was incredibly open on Sunday and back to normal by Tuesday. Unfortunately the call was made by Sunningdale on Friday afternoon to call off this year’s event. It couldn't have been an easy decision to make giving the size of the field and to say Sarah and myself were a bit gutted would be an understatement, but hopefully we will have a place in next year’s event.

Fabian being Fitted by Titleist at St Ives
Instead of being at Sunningdale I took a trip through to St.Ives with Fabian on Wednesday afternoon. Fabian had never been properly fitted before but like most good players had come to roughly get the right equipment. That said, his bad miss was left with a driver where he over drew it.
|
With a bit of tweaking on the head set up and a change of quality and style of shaft he never looked like going there. I've been to many fitting centres and it’s noticeable that once you put the right kit that suits the player in their hands they start swinging it better and don't have to protect their bad misses.

|
As you can see from his numbers, which were in metres not yards, so you can stick another 10% on, he can certainly send it out there. |

Video Coaching Evening
This season we plan to have a coaching/social evening in the clubhouse bar using the SkyTrak launch monitor. As you hit the ball into a net, SkyTrack accurately captures and displays a graphic of your shot. You’ll see the ball fly and receive instant data on parameters such as ball speed, launch angle, side-spin, back-spin, distance, carry and shot accuracy.
|
With some instant analysis by the NASA supercomputer and guidance from Rob and Sarah you’ll have made your first step towards joining the PGA Tour. At the end of the evening we’ll use SkyTrack to have a virtual nearest-the-pin competition with the winner collecting a bottle of wine (a real bottle, not virtual).

Listen to what he has to say |
We’ve been hammering home the importance of getting your clubs regripped for the past few weeks now, so we thought we’d take a closer look at one particular grip that we’re currently offering to put on your 7-iron for FREE… |
| Interview with David Leadbetter | Golf Instructor |

Why try the Golf Pride Align grip? You might think launching a new golf grip is like reinventing the wheel, but this Golf Pride Align grip really has broken the mould. Its key feature is the raised ridge on the back of the grip. By feeling this ridge each time you hold a club, you’ll have a physical aid to your grip position. This will help you achieve more consistent hand placements, which should only lead to more consistent results. |
