The Autumn Cup

31 players played in the Autumn cup last Sunday. The competition is played over 36 holes and was won by Mark Reeve with a brilliant total of 142 -2. He managed to pip playing partner Olly Tuck by one shot after Olly finished with a 70 second round following his 73 first round which was good enough for best nett with a total of 139.

Both will be playing for the scratch team this Sunday as they take on Ely in the Goddard Cup final looking to do the league and cup double for the first time. If you want to come and support the team over the weekend, the morning foursomes start at 9am, and the singles go out at 1pm. It should prove to be a thrilling finale to a great year for the scratch team and your support will be much appreciated.

Congratulations to the Junior team on winning the county foursomes championship the St.Ives Cup. The match was played last Saturday at St.Ives golf club where the team came through 2-1 victors over Ely. They will play the same opposition in the Friendly cup final at the end of the month in an attempt to do the county double.

Seniors Past Captain's Competition

Despite only two of them remembering a club, the seniors past captains held their past Captains' competition on Wednesday.

Congratulations to Keith Willey who won the day with 36 points. I know Keith has worked hard on his game this year and I'm pleased to see he has taken the form on to the course. A dark horse for Millennium week?

A special well done to Derek on this occasion for choosing to wear his confirming socks, much smarter than the green pair with that outfit.
