Yesterday was Mark Jones' away day at Woodbridge Golf club. I will send a few more photos and a report through next week but here is one to whet your appetite of Mike Price with his special Ryder cup outfit winnings. Expect to see more of same at Gleneagles this week!
Walden Scratch Team going for the treble!
Our scratch team are going for the treble in the CAGU inter club trophy 3 man team on Sunday, 5 October at Brampton Park with the start times from 8.30am.
The team is Mark Reeve, Olly Tuck and Tom Duggan. After their fantastic season, we are highly confident that the lads can do it. As with the Goddard Cup and scratch league they have had great support from members etc, and I know they would hugely appreciate all the support they can get on the Sunday!
By the time you read this, Team Europe may already be well on their way to winning the Ryder Cup… again! Who knows, maybe the Americans will claim the trophy for the first time since Valhalla in 2008.
If you're watching and you can separate yourself from the theatre, we recommend trying to learn a thing or two from the pros. One of the things that strikes us during Ryder Cup week is how deadly accurate they are from 120 yards and in. Given the freedom to attack the pins, it can turn into a real birdie fest.
When you're sat there thinking 'How do they do it?' bear us in mind as we can help you make more birdies with your wedges. You might not ever make the Ryder Cup team but we can guarantee we'll make you a better player in the short-game area, so you win more events at the club. Click here to request a short game lesson.
Enjoy the drama of Gleneagles.
