As we head towards another weekend in lockdown, we hope you and your family are well. This week the comps and handicap and course development meetings continued as normal as several of us got round our computers to log into the relevant conference calls. Youll be pleased to know that in the Course development meeting Ian was pleased with how the course looked. From his attached report you will see from the photos the course is starting to get the early season definition and the guys have been able to get the stripes into the cutting patterns. It's even more remarkable considering they are down to a team of just three with four been furloughed. Click here to read Ian's report. Comps and handicap was mainly about the world handicapping system which is still due to come in at the end of the year. There has been a lot of great work done on this by certain members of the committee and it reminded me how much work goes on voluntarily by members for the good of the club. From the Pro Shop point of view, we are all fit, well and missing the club a great deal. Aaron has got his hands full educating Zachary, Callems been hitting shots and working out at home and if you follow Sarah online you will see she's been working in the Care home sector. In our house this week you can see from the pictures that Johnny has felt the full effect of lockdown as his mum sheared his head. We got him to stand still by pretending to be a Roman Emporer so he didn't lose an ear. After mastering poker and golf Marcia now aims to be a county standard bowler by the end of lockdown. In particular, she has learnt to appreciate the importance of the back of a length delivery at this time of year in our garden and with the help of her mum her sledging is coming on leaps and bounds. There are plenty of ideas in this week’s email for you to give a go at home, including one that we’d like you to send us a video of you trying. Keep reading to find out what! Stay safe and enjoy the read.
