In between all, that Saturday was lovely and despite having to rearrange his tee time due to being caught in the floods we had our first post lockdown competition winner in Jack Linwood with 39 points.

Junior news

Junior coaching Christmas special

Open to all members and non-members, we at Saffron Walden will be running our Junior Christmas special coaching sessions before the big day and before the new programme starts up again in January.

There will be two sessions;

- 9:00 am - 10:00 am
- 10:00 am - 11:00 am

The sessions will involved fun golfing games, as well as working on specific skills to help improve your game!

It is just £9 per person but you must book in advance.

That was certainly the case for Christiaan Bezuidenhout as the South African went back-to-back on home soil, winning the Alfred Dunhill Championship and South African Open for his second and third European Tour titles.

Having struggled on Sunday’s front-nine, Bezuidenhout looked in danger of blowing a five-stroke lead over veteran Jamie Donaldson. However, he found comfort in the arms of his irons down the stretch: Finding greens and attacking pins when it mattered most.
