Hello and welcome to this weeks newsletter,
I've been fortunate to play the course twice this week and I must say that the condition is superb at the minute. All should bode well for the medal and captains cocktail party this weekend.
Last week's Titleist demo day went down well with the day being over subscribed even though Titleist put on an extra 2 hours of appointments. This is testimony to the brand, products and fitters.
Next weekend we are having an Odyssey putters trial session so if anyone would like to be fitted, or try them out on the course next weekend please let me know.

There were a couple of club matches over the past couple of weekends. The first two involved the junior section and I'm pleased to tell you that they are through to the second round of the British Legion and have also won their first league game against St. Neotts, last years champions with Richard Hall seeing us over the line with a unique approach using the club house wall!
Jock Stewart Squad news
On Sunday, 26 April Vice Captain Chris Porter travelled over to Brampton Park with the Jock Stewart Squad for what was the toughest fixture in round 2.
Andy Dann and Mark Harvey went out first against a very steady Brampton pairing and lost on the 14th. The middle pairing Dave Monk and Ossie Esteruizen had a very tight match staying 1 down most of the match, eventually loosing on 17. Ian Hudson and Ben Rutherford put in a great performance after going 2 down at the start, dug deep and went 4 up after 14, winning on 18 by 2.
Captain Simon Hawkins said:
"Considering the condition of Brampton's greens, and the fact the middle match could have gone either way, loosing 2-1 was no disgrace, and thanks the squad for the commitment shown this year".
