Hello and welcome to this week's newsletter.
The club is starting to look very festive with the decorations been put up in the club house and the pro shop even though the weather is anything but winterish. Famous last words, but if we could have the weather like this every December it would make golf a lot more enjoyable.
Ladies biomechanics session
This week, the ladies squad took part in an introduction to biomechanics session lead by Cambridge Spartans. The sessions included a presentation by Head Coach Ben Capper & Personal Trainer Oliver Childs, then practical work linking the exercises and the faults in the golf swing out on the practice range with our Golf Professional Sarah.
Everyone who took part took away exercises which could help improve their flexibility, mobility and/or any injuries - whilst receiving a personal 15 minute warm up to complete before play! Biomechanics is a way of not only improving our golf swing through simple exercises, fitness and knowing how the body moves, but by improving our posture and muscle imbalance it may help prevent injuries.
If you are interested you can enquire in the Pro shop and more sessions will be held next year.
Three Wise Men
If any of you who stay away on course shoot days wonder what happens, we have some video footage taken from the bar on Wednesday.
It appears that beer golf was in full flow, Mr Price, someone called O'Reilly (used to be important apparently) and Mr Porter were on hand to help Sarah set up the room for the ladies biomechanics session, and they couldn't resist showing her their golfing prowess.
To be fair to Kieran and Mike they seemed to strike it quite well, however Chris not content with taking a chunk out of the first tee on his drive in had a go at the carpet in the clubhouse as well.

Video lessons are available, you can have them outside and you don't have to wear a shirt and tie.
