Range and Short Game Area

Whether you’re just starting out, want to improve your game, or simply don’t have the time to play a full round, why not take advantage of the exceptional practice facilities at Saffron Walden Golf Club.

Our extensive short game area and practice putting green are located near the first tee, together with 4 driving nets to get into the swing before your round. The short game practice area is one of the best in the county, providing players the chance to replicate shots from all lies and stances as if on the course. Built containing a large number of different grasses, all cut to different lengths, you will not find a more comprehensive area within which to practice and sharpen your short game. The area is so excellent that internationally respected Professional and Coach Scott Cranfield heard about it and asked to use it for one of his lessons with a pupil based in the area!

In conjunction with the above the full-length practice range with distance markers for the full shots with an array of practice flags to aim at. There is also a small practice bunker to tidy up your short bunker shots.
