Hello and welcome to this week’s newsletter.

Hopefully you were all inspired by the golf on the television last weekend (not the BBC commentary) to get out onto the range and course. The course looks splendid at the minute, the greens are still receptive and even with a bit of treatment this week they are still running at a good speed.

On the greens front, congratulations to Bob and his wife on the birth of their son, welcome to the mad house, life will never quite be the same again.

Trophy Hunt

On the Josh Izod trophy hunt, he failed to win anything this week, mainly as he was on holiday but he did come back to represent the club as the juniors were at Woodhall in the national finals. After a decent first day they couldn't quite match it on the second but finished mid table out of all the counties and certainly learnt a lot from it to hopefully go back next year and finish higher. So well done to Jacob, Jamie and Josh.

Jamie did fair better at the Hanbury Manor junior open with a top 3 finish. Josh is hoping to go better next week as he takes off to St. Andrews for the junior finals up there, good luck to him in that.

During the afternoon you will learn basic techniques for getting you started in learning golf or practice with a coach for those starting out who want to improve their game. The afternoon covers long game, chipping & putting or short game, putting & on course experience.

It’s a fun afternoon, meeting new people, discovering new skills and you will be refreshed on the skills of learning golf.

Only £20 for the afternoon. Equipment & balls provided. Maximum of 10 in a group.
